Night Clubs and Dance Venues in Leeds

Leeds is going through something of a renaissance when it comes to classical dancing. 2005 saw construction begin on a new building in the Quarry Hill area of Leeds to house the Northern ballet theatre. This is a nationally renowned company that stages ballet productions of famous stories, recent performances have included Dracula, Peter Pan and Madame Butterfly. This enables ballet dancing in the region to be more accessible and enjoyable for the more casual observer. The Quarry Hill area is also home to Yorkshire dance that teaches all kinds of dancing including tap dancing, jazz and even break dancing, and also put on several performances throughout the year.

Leeds is also popular with more varied forms of dancing including, line dancing, ballroom and jive dancing. Due to the city's northerly location there is also a thriving Scottish dancing scene in the city. This dancing still leaves room though for more modern types of dancing particularly on the city's thriving club scene. There are several nightclubs throughout the city offering a variety of music and theme nights to suit every taste from hardcore rockers to House, Garage and Trance music.
